The reviewer wrote: "A beautiful illustrated atlas of molecules, from relatively simple to complex proteins, such as apolipoproteins and viral coat proteins. Function can often be delineated from form; knowing for instance the priority of a particular domain, one can predict the kind and severity of a disease caused by gene mutation. References to clinical implications are given throughout. It is difficult not to be overwhelmed by the aesthetic and scientific qualities of this remarkable project."
