Moodinflame
Moodinflame is a CP collaborative project (FP7-HEALTH-2007-B) supported by the European Community. The project is a network of 18 groups from 10 countries (Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, UK, Italy, France, Sweden, Ireland, Austria) and is coordinated by Prof. Hemmo Drexhage (Erasmus Med. Center Rotterdam). The kick-off meeting was in Rotterdam in November 2008. The project aims to understand the role of inflammation in depression and the role of activated monocytes.

Aims of Prof. Humpels workpackage: Culture serotonergic neurons of the dorsal raphe in slices and study neurodegeneration of neurons after inflammation and explore the role of IDO. | ||
